Connecting Presidential Collections (CPC) was a grant project funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and housed at The University of Virginia's Miller Center.
The CPC project provided a centralized website where researchers and learners could search across presidential collections. Once visitors found what they were looking for using the CPC portal, they were then directed to the partner's website to view the chosen item, thus directing web traffic back to the partner's original records and elevating visibility of these essential collections.
In 2019, the Miller Center made a temporary decision to shutter CPC due to a lack of resources.
The UVA Miller Center thanks IMLS for its generous support of Connecting Presidential Collections. The mission of IMLS is to inspire libraries and museums to advance innovation, lifelong learning, and cultural and civic engagement. The IMLS provides leadership through research, policy development, and grant making.
The Miller Center would also like to thank all its partners that sent us valuable metadata about their digital collections.
