Wilkinson provides a concise view of the disposition of troops in advance of headquarters and engaged in the transport service between Fort Washington and the Miami Bay. He includes the number of men (and their rank) garrisoned at Fort Wayne, Fort Defiance, the camp at the foot of the Rapids of the Miami, and Loramies and its dependencies., Wilkinson mentions that neither Major Shaylor nor Ensign H. Bowyer are included in the count. The report was compiled from June 30 to July 6, 1796.
