Harrison appoints Kibby captain of a company of the militia in the District of St. Charles., Kibby, Timothy, The district of St. Charles is in Missouri. John Gibson co-signed as secretary of the territory. The red wax territorial seal is covered by a blank square of paper. On the reverse side, Colonel Return Jonathan Meigs confirms that Kibby had taken the oaths necessary to perform his duties as captain of the militia of Upper Louisiana; dated April 13, 1805.
